The Senior IT Security Officer will have responsibilities that include:
- Develop, implement, and maintain IT security policies, standards, procedures, and controls.
- Lead security awareness and training programs and ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
- Conduct security assessments, audits, and vulnerability reviews and recommend appropriate improvements.
- Manage cybersecurity incidents, response activities, and forensic investigations when required.
- Collaborate with internal teams, external security partners, and vendors to address security risks and requirements.
- Provide strategic recommendations to strengthen the organization’s overall cybersecurity posture.
- Monitor emerging cyber threats, security technologies, and industry trends to proactively manage risks.
- Develop and maintain security incident response plans and procedures.
- Lead and mentor security professionals and oversee the effective implementation of security initiatives.
- Report security risks, incidents, and recommendations to senior management and key stakeholders.
Job Requirment
- Proven experience in a senior Information Security or Cybersecurity role.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
- 3–5 years of relevant experience in IT or Cybersecurity.
- Strong knowledge of network security, encryption, access control, and information security practices.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and teamwork skills.
- CISSP, CISM, or CISA certification is highly preferred.
