The Nurse/Pharmacist will have responsibilities that include:
- Collaborate with the project team to support effective implementation of healthcare activities.
- Dispense medicines accurately and educate patients on proper usage, dosage, storage, and possible side effects.
- Assist with patient assessments, clinical support, vital signs monitoring, and medical documentation.
- Administer prescribed medications, injections, IV fluids, and vaccinations according to approved protocols.
- Manage medicine and medical supply stocks, including inventory tracking, expiry monitoring, and FEFO/FIFO storage practices.
- Provide health education on medication adherence, disease prevention, hygiene, nutrition, and healthy lifestyles.
- Maintain infection prevention standards and support emergency care, first aid, wound dressing, and patient stabilization.
- Keep accurate patient records, pharmacy documents, HMIS tools, stock cards, and required reports.
- Coordinate with healthcare professionals, participate in outreach programs, immunization campaigns, and quality improvement activities.
- Report outbreaks, service challenges, and other issues to supervisors while maintaining confidentiality and performing assigned duties.
Job Requirment
- Diploma (14th Grade) in Nursing or Pharmacy from a recognized institution; bachelor’s degree is an advantage.
- Successful completion of the National Exit Examination with 2–3 years of relevant healthcare experience.
- Strong knowledge and practical skills in nursing and/or pharmacy services.
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and interpersonal abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Fluency in Pashto, Dari, and English (both written and spoken).
- Strong sense of professionalism, ethics, confidentiality, and commitment to patient-centered care.
- Ability to work under pressure, solve problems, manage multiple tasks, and adapt to challenging environments.
- Willingness to travel to field locations and work effectively with healthcare teams and communities.
- Experience in the targeted provinces with knowledge of local communities, culture, and geography is preferred.
