The National Senior Officer – Internal Audit (CLDRM) will have responsibilities that include:

    • Assist in preparing risk-based internal audit plans aligned with organizational priorities, donor requirements, and regulatory standards.
    • Conduct internal audits of projects, partners, and field offices, ensuring compliance with financial, operational, and governance guidelines.
    • Assess internal controls and risk management systems, and provide practical recommendations for improvement.
    • Prepare clear audit reports, maintain proper documentation, and follow up on findings to ensure timely 
    • resolution.Coordinate with management and relevant departments to collect audit evidence and support audit processes.
    • Conduct field visits, spot checks, and special investigations when required.
    • Uphold ethical standards, confidentiality, and safeguarding policies at all times.
    • Support administrative tasks and contribute to internal control and risk management improvements.

Job Requirment

    • Bachelor’s degree in Economics or Business Administration, along with CIA certification or ACCA (finalist with up to 2 papers remaining). Minimum of 4 years’ experience in an INGO/NGO environment.
    • Strong understanding of internal auditing standards (IIA), risk-based audit approaches, and internal control systems.
    • Solid knowledge of procurement, financial management, grant compliance, and donor-funded project requirements.
    • Excellent skills in audit reporting, analysis, and documentation with the ability to produce clear and practical recommendations.
    • Able to work independently under pressure, manage multiple tasks, and meet tight deadlines.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and audit tracking systems.
    • High level of integrity, confidentiality, and professional skepticism, with strong ethical judgment in handling sensitive information.
