The Money Counter will have responsibilities that include:
- Count physical cash accurately and verify cash bundles by signing them to confirm completeness and correctness.
- Inspect received banknotes to ensure their authenticity, validity, and suitability for circulation.
- Transport physical cash to and from Da Afghanistan Bank and/or AIB branches as required.
- Provide support to cashiers during urgent customer cash deposit and withdrawal transactions.
- Perform any additional tasks and responsibilities related to the position as assigned
- Assist with ATM cash replenishment and ensure timely refilling when required.
- Carry out other duties assigned by the Line Manager based on operational needs.
Job Requirment
- Completion of 12th or 14th grade is required; a Bachelor’s degree in Banking & Finance, Business Administration, Islamic Banking, or a related field is preferred.
- Candidates holding relevant banking certificates will be given preference.
- Minimum 1 year of experience in banking operations or administrative roles.
- Familiarity with banking software, policies, regulations, and basic accounting principles.
- Ability to communicate effectively in Dari, Pashto, and English (speaking, writing, and understanding).
- Proficiency in computer applications, including Windows and MS Office.
- Strong customer service, communication, relationship management, and teamwork skills.
- Good analytical thinking, decision-making, problem-solving abilities, and attention to detail.
- Strong mathematical skills with the ability to handle financial calculations and cash transactions accurately.
