Job Summary

• The Internal Audit Officer is a key member of the audit team, providing essential support to the Internal Auditor. This role encompasses conducting independent audits, including investigations, compliance checks, and high-level control assessments. The officer will utilize various audit methodologies and techniques to review processes and documentation, ensuring adherence to Islamic Relief's guidelines and values
   

The IRW Jobs in Kabul, (Internal Audit Officer) will have responsibilities that include:

• Assist in conducting comprehensive risk assessments to identify high-risk areas within the Afghanistan Country Office.
• Support the development of an audit plan that addresses the key risks identified, ensuring thorough coverage.
• Participate in audit assignments, working collaboratively with the team or independently as required.
• Maintain high-quality standards through diligent supervision and review of assurance activities.
• Contribute to the implementation of the audit plan, providing assurance on risk management and internal control effectiveness.
• Prepare audit reports with reliable evidence, ensuring they reflect accurate findings and recommendations.
• Monitor management's response to audit findings, guaranteeing effective resolution and follow-up.
• Engage in ad-hoc investigations to address specific concerns or potential fraud.
• Aid in the development and review of the Country Office Risk Register, monitoring control measures for effectiveness.
• Any other duties assigned by the internal auditor;

Job Requirment

• Education: Bachelor degree in Accounting or Finance. ACCA or CIA part Qualified is required.
• Professional Experience: At least 3-4 years’ Significant work experience in Audit with International NGOs/Audit Firms.
• Technical skills: Excellent understanding of standards of the internal audit, international standards of accounting.
• Management skills: Accuracy, attention to detail, commitment to transparency
• Personal qualities: Ability to maintain and abide with professional ethics, particularly confidentiality and integrity.
• Technology skills: Proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint
• Language skills: Fluent in verbal and written English and Dari.
• Communication skills: Excellent communication skills, able to communicate effectively at all levels within the organization.
