The Information Technology Advisor will have responsibilities that include:
- The role focuses on overseeing IT governance, ensuring technology strategies align with the Bank’s objectives and policies.
- It includes identifying, assessing, and managing IT risks related to cybersecurity, infrastructure, applications, and data.
- The position monitors cybersecurity controls, security incidents, vulnerabilities, and compliance with information security standards.
- The role reviews IT operations, system performance, infrastructure reliability, and technology projects.
- It ensures compliance with Da Afghanistan Bank regulations, IT guidelines, and audit recommendations.
- The position evaluates business continuity and disaster recovery plans to maintain critical services during disruptions.
- It prepares independent reports for the Board regarding technology risks, security status, operational performance, and major projects.
- The role provides advisory support on digital transformation, core banking systems, technology investments, and innovation.
- It also oversees IT procurement, vendor selection, contracts, and technology acquisitions.
- The position ensures technology investments are secure, cost-effective, scalable, and aligned with the Bank’s strategic goals.
Job Requirment
- Candidates should have a Master’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
- Professional certifications such as CISA, CISM, CISSP, CRISC, CGEIT, or COBIT are preferred.
- The position requires at least 10 years of experience in banking technology, IT governance, cybersecurity, audit, or risk management.
- Candidates should have a minimum of 5 years of senior-level managerial, advisory, or governance experience.
- Experience in banking and financial institutions is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of banking technology, digital systems, and IT governance frameworks is required.
- Candidates should understand cybersecurity, information security, technology risks, and DAB regulations.
- Strong analytical, reporting, communication, and presentation skills are essential.
- The role requires the ability to provide independent advice with professionalism and integrity.
