The Female Teller will have responsibilities that include:

The position holder will be responsible for performing the following duties and responsibilities:

• Ensure proper cash management by preventing cash overages, shortages, and incorrect postings.
• Make cash payments to account holders or third parties only after properly verifying their identity in accordance with KYC requirements.
• Subject all checks to the required UV-ray verification process.
• Receive cash, verify account numbers, accurately count the cash, and immediately credit the respective customer accounts.
• Record the source and intended use of deposited or withdrawn cash in accordance with AML requirements for LCTR reporting.
• Process foreign exchange transactions based on the daily card rates published by the Treasury Department.
• Sort cash properly and keep soiled, damaged, or mutilated banknotes separately.
• Reconcile the day-end cash balance with the ICBA report.
• Issue BCs for Head Office (HO) and customers.
• Process M-Paisa, Brishna, WHO, and UNICEF transactions after verifying the required KYC documents.
• Ensure the proper safekeeping of cabin and drawer keys.
• Maintain the Long Book Register on a daily basis in Excel and save the records in the designated folder according to date.
• Maintain the Inter-Teller Transaction Form daily for all cash transfers conducted with the Head Teller.
• Provide customers with prompt, accurate, error-free, and courteous services.
• Promote and cross-sell the Bank’s products and services to customers.
• Ensure that individual accounts are not used for business-related purposes.
• Review transaction history before processing payments to ensure that DAB weekly and monthly transaction limits are not exceeded.
• Perform any other duties and responsibilities assigned by the Line Manager.
• The duties and responsibilities of the position holder may be revised or adjusted based on the operational needs and requirements of the organization.

Job Requirment

Required Qualifications and Skills:

• Preferably hold a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as Economics, Business Administration, Mathematics, Statistics, Banking & Finance, Management, or a related discipline. Candidates with relevant professional certifications or those close to completing their university degree may also be considered.
• Minimum of one year of experience working in the Cash Section. Preference will be given to candidates with experience in daily banking operations, a strong understanding of operational policies, rules, and regulations, excellent marketing and customer-attraction skills, and strong communication abilities in English, Persian, and Pashto.
• Demonstrated ability and willingness to work effectively in cross-functional teams, perform duties in geographically dispersed environments, and contribute to internal training and coaching activities.
• Good command of English and the local languages.
• Strong computer skills with excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Proactive, constructive, and self-motivated attitude, with strong initiative, confidence, analytical abilities, and reporting skills. Must be a quick learner.
