The Moore Global network traces its origins back to a small auditing, tax consulting and insolvency practice set up by Harold Moore and Albert Partridge in 1907. Moore, Partridge & Co occupied a building not far from the Guildhall in the heart of the City of London, evolving steadily until the outbreak of war in 1914. By the end of the conflict, Albert Partridge had left and the business entered a new phase of growth. In 1918 Harold Moore formed Moore, Stephens & Co with John Robinson Stephens, who had managed the firm while his new business partner served in the Royal Flying Corps in the First World War. The name was shortened to Moore Stephens in 1986, then evolved again when the global network rebranded as Moore in 2019.
Under the direct supervision of Exemption/ASYREC Project Manager, the incumbent will be primarily engaged in technical implementation of all the Exemption/ASYREC Project related activities in the UNCTAD Afghanistan, in consideration with rules and regulations defined by the United Nations.
The Exemption ASYREC IT Associate Job at Moore With $1700 Monthly will have responsibilities that include:
1. Assist in designing, development and implementation of the Computer Application Systems, modules and any software components needed to support the ASYCUDA Exemption/ASYREC operations and development.
2. Help in developing Systems and module graphical interfaces, web modules, database modules, application reports and statistics, and any software components needed to deliver complete and functional applications Systems.
3. Support performance of all necessary software maintenance, including coding, testing, debugging, upgrading and modifications of software required.
4. Enter the data to the system as and when required.
5. Ensure the filing of documents in the filling system.
6. Provide the necessary technical support and work on a team basis to all members of the ASYCUDA Exemption/ASYREC team to accomplish the software development and implementation tasks as required.
7. Assist in preparation of monthly & quarterly software project status reports describing the development of the project activities.
8. Apply software development methodologies as directed by Senior Executive to develop, implement and test Systems and software components.
9. Contribute technical and professional knowledge and experience to improve ASYCUDA Exemption/ASYREC operations and technical platform.
10. Any other task as assigned by the line Supervisor.

Monitoring and evaluation: Ability to travel to the provinces to monitor the progress of work or evaluate the data and prepare a report to the management.
Professionalism: Good technical, analytical and communication skills, including ability to identify and participate in the resolution of issues/problems; Proven expertise in use of IT-based tools used for exemption/ ASYREC systems, Ms. Office Package, Data base development, Java, C++ and required software.

Location:
Kabul with travels to the provinces (the official travel expense will be paid by UNCTAD)
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in software engineering, computer sequence, IT, Social Science, Economics or other relevant fields is required.
Experience:
Computer Skills:
• Working knowledge and experience using Ms. Office Package, Data base development, Java, C++ and required software is required.
• Experience in operating the ASYCUDA Exemption system is required
Language Requirement:
• Strong knowledge in written and spoken English and excellent knowledge of national languages (Pashto and Dari) are required. Translation of document to local languages will be added asset.
