After more than 40 years of conflict, Afghanistan remains one of the world’s most complex humanitarian crises, characterised by both urgent and chronic needs. In 2021, the conflict intensified with violence that heavily affected the Afghan population. The IEA (Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan) takeover on August 15th 2021 was a major turning point for the country, with increasing humanitarian challenges.

Job Summary

    • She/he will be closely supervised and report to the MEAL officer. The core task will be to conduct MSNA (multi sectoral need assessment), KAP (knowledge attitude and practice) survey, Cash/hygiene kit PDM and satisfaction survey, beneficiary selection exercises and data collection methods.
    • Conduct data collection using the provided data collection tools (KOBO tool box) through interviews and phone calls.
    • Conduct PDM and satisfaction survey through phone call and in health facility level within the assigned areas.

The Enumerator - ( 6 Vacancies ) will have responsibilities that include:

    • Travel to the targeted districts and villages within Kabul and Parwan Provinces.
    • Develop relationship of trust and safe space during data collection exercise with respondents.
    • Ensure beneficiaries consent is secured from all respondents before data collecting.
    • Ensure collected data is accurately recorded.
    • Ensure that the completed questionnaires are appropriately submitted through Kobo.
    • Identify and report immediately any challenges faced to the supervisor that could affect the quality of the data.
    • Take responsibility for the equipment that you may receive for data collection.
    • Report daily issues and challenges to the MEAL officer.

Job Requirment

    •    At least graduated from high school. Bachelors will be preferred
    •   Minimum 1 year of relevant experience with INGOs.
    •   Must be fluent in Pashto and Dari.
    •    Familiarity with English is an asset.
    •   Familiar with using KOBO toolbox is must.
    •   Experienced in data collection.
    •    Having experience with PU-AMI is an asset.
