The Digital Banking Technical Officer - ATM & POS will have responsibilities that include:
- Ensure the continuous operation of ATM, POS, and card switch systems (AfPay, MasterCard, and Visa) by monitoring performance and resolving issues promptly.
- Troubleshoot technical issues affecting ATMs, POS terminals, communication networks, and digital banking platforms.
- Provide first-level technical support for Mobile Banking, Internet Banking, Mobile Money, and E-Commerce Gateway services.
- Assist with the installation, configuration, testing, and deployment of ATMs, POS terminals, and digital banking solutions.
- Coordinate with vendors and third-party providers on system upgrades, configurations, and incident resolution.
- Support the technical setup, configuration, and testing of POS and E-Commerce merchants.Maintain accurate
- documentation of technical activities, incidents, and system changes.
- Escalate unresolved technical issues and ensure timely follow-up until resolution.
- Collaborate with internal teams to resolve technical issues and improve service reliability.
- Follow IT, cybersecurity, and compliance standards while supporting business continuity initiatives
Job Requirment
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Electronics, or a closely related technical discipline.
- At least 2 years of practical, hands-on experience in the maintenance and support of ATM and/or POS systems, preferably within the banking or financial sector.
- Solid expertise in ATM and POS hardware components, software setup/configurations, and advanced troubleshooting techniques.
- Familiarity with ATM switch systems as well as related integration protocols.
- Good understanding of network connectivity concepts and remote system management tools.
- Proven ability to coordinate with vendors effectively and monitor service level agreements (SLAs) to ensure quality service delivery.
