Job Summary
- Under the supervision of the Warehouse Storekeeper related to loading/unloading and under Fleet Workshop Supervisor related to maintenance and in accordance with instructions received from the Logistics Officer the Forklift Operator will support the mission in the implementation of client activities.
- Working with:
- Will liaise and co-operate with all staff in the various sections of Warehouse.
- The Operator will form strong links with relevant parties to meet the client objectives with respect to overall policy coordination and delivery of the client.
- In particular he/ she will be responsible for the following Activities:
- Carry out daily checks on Forklift before operation.
- Load/Unload materials and merchandise from Warehouse/Vehicles and stack them correctly to assigned places.
The CTG Jobs in Multi Location, (Forklift Operator) will have responsibilities that include:
- Locate and move stock of products to pallets or crates for storage inside of food or non-food items warehouses or for Transportation in Trucks.
- Identify damages and report shortages or quality deficiencies.
- Transport materials in and around Warehouse as required.
- Inspect Forklift to determine the need for repairs and guarantee safety by ensuring regular maintenance is done.
- Keep updated records of inventory and activity logs.
- Comply with company policies and legal guidelines.
- Help maintain a safe and orderly environment of the facilities,
- Will perform any other duties as requested by immediate Supervisor.
- NB: Loss or damage of Cargo as Food and Non-Food Items or Equipment as well as Loss of Fuel in the care of the employee shall be deducted from the salary based on CIF value or Local Market Rate, whichever is prevailing.
Job Requirment
- Proven experience as forklift operator
- Attention to detail and familiarity with industrial equipment and machineries.
- Excellent physical condition and coordination
- Valid certification to operate forklifts and/or other heavy loading/unloading machineries.
- Experience:
- Experience with humanitarian and the client Logistics operations and processes.
- Experience with commercial or humanitarian transport sector.
- Previous experience with Fleet operations and Warehousing is desirable.
- Language
- Fluency in Pashto/Dari,
- Knowledge of English is an added advantage.
