The Chief Finance Officer will have responsibilities that include:

    1. The Finance Manager oversees the organization’s financial planning by developing business plans, preparing forecasts, and supporting long-term strategic objectives to ensure financial sustainability.
    2. The role involves producing accurate financial statements and management reports while ensuring full compliance with IFRS, regulatory requirements, and Central Bank reporting standards.
    3. The position is responsible for maintaining reliable accounting records through transaction monitoring, account reconciliations, asset management, and effective budget control.
    4. Close collaboration with the CEO, senior management, and ALCO is required to provide financial analysis, support strategic decisions, and contribute to organizational growth.
    5. The Finance Manager also supervises the development of accounting policies, updates financial procedures, and works with the IT team to improve accounting systems and operational efficiency.
    6. In addition, the role includes overseeing finance staff, preparing reports for Board meetings, managing official correspondence, and completing special assignments requested by executive management.
    7. Candidates should possess strong expertise in accounting principles, IFRS, IAS, GAAP, banking operations, investment products, and financial regulations, with practical experience in financial software.
    8. Excellent communication skills in English, Dari, and Pashto, together with proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and a solid understanding of international banking practices, are essential for success in this position.

Job Requirment

    • A Master’s degree in Commerce, Economics, Accounting, Business Administration, Mathematics, or another closely related field is required.
    • Holding an ACCA membership in Accounting and Finance will be considered a strong advantage.
    • A recognized professional accounting qualification or an MBA is highly desirable.
    • At least five years of relevant experience in the banking sector, including service in a managerial or higher-level position, is required.
    • A minimum of five years of experience leading and supervising teams is essential.
    • Demonstrated leadership and administrative capabilities, with the ability to drive innovation, build high-performing teams, and maintain effective working relationships with senior executives and external stakeholders.
