WAR CHILD
War Child was founded in 1993 by filmmakers David Wilson and Bill Leeson, along with social entrepreneur Willemijn Verloop, who were horrified by the violence and ethnic cleansing they witnessed in Bosnia. Thirty years ago, children in conflict zones had no access to professional psychological support – no charity was set up to address this need. That all changed in 1993, when filmmakers David Wilson, Bill Leeson, and social entrepreneur Willemijn Verloop travelled to the former Yugoslavia and saw first-hand how war, much like in Ukraine today, was impacting innocent children.
Job Summary
- Responsible for providing CFS services in the CFSs.
- Assists in developing and maintaining an environment that promotes physical, social, and emotional development through arts, crafts, games, and other child friendly activities.
- Identify vulnerable children for PSS support through mobile CFS services.
- Identify and refer children in need of case management to CP actors on a regular basis.
- Design and implement recreational and psychosocial support (PSS) activities, actively involving children (with a strong focus on child’s specific needs and vulnerabilities).
- Ensure that children get all necessary support during the activities and that rules and discipline are set up in a positive and constructive way.
- Prepare activities plan/schedule and arrange materials needed for the activities.
- Collect information (attendance sheets, questionnaires, etc.) and report identified cases of children with specific needs/extremely vulnerable to the Psychosocial Officer.
- Ensure the safety and wellbeing of the children at the CFS and as well as the environment.
- Ensure that all games and equipment are available and counted at the end of the day and ensure children are using the games and equipment in a proper way and rotation system.
- Play a vital role in setting up and running recreational activities for children using various individual and team games, and storytelling enabling access to information, child protection messages.
- Ensure child safeguarding checklists is followed in the child friendly space.
- Support children to understand the feedback mechanism and use it to provide their feedback in confidential and safe manner and ensure responses are provided to children on timely basis.
- Conduct positive parenting skills sessions for CFS children's parents/caregivers participating to learn more about positive behaviors and other child protection issues.

Key responsibilities of CFS Facilitator ( 6 Vacancies ):

- کمک به تاسیس و حفظ محیطی که رشد جسمی، اجتماعی و عاطفی طفل را از طریق هنرها، صنایع دستی، بازی ها و سایر فعالیت های مورد علاقه طفل ترویج می کند.
- شناسایی اطفال آسیب پذیر برای دریافت حمایت های روانی-اجتماعی از طریق خدمات مراکز سیار دوستدار طفل.
- شناسایی و ارجاع اطفال نیازمند به دریافت خدمات مدیریت قضایا به نهادهای خدمت رسان به طور منظم
- طراحی و اجرای فعالیت های تفریحی و حمایت های روانی-اجتماعی (PSS)، با دخیل ساختن فعالانه اطفال (با تمرکز قوی بر نیازها و آسیب پذیری های خاص طفل).
- اطمینان از اینکه اطفال در طول فعالیت ها از همه پشتیبانی های لازم برخوردار می شوند و قوانین و انضباط به شکل مثبت و سازنده ای تنظیم می شوند.
- .تهیه پلان کاری و تأمین مواد مورد نیاز برای فعالیت ها.
- جمع آوری اطلاعات (حاضری روزانه و پرسشنامه ها و غیره) و گزارش دادن قضایای شناسایی شده اطفال با نیازهای خاص/بسیار آسیب پذیر به بخش حمایت های روانی-اجتماعی.
- .اطمینان از ایمنی و رفاه اطفال در مراکز دوستدار طفل و همچنین محیط آن.
- اطمینان از موجودیت تمام امکانات و لوازم در پایان روز کاری و جلوگیری از گم شدن اجناس داخل مراکز دوستدار اطفال و همچنین اطمینان از اینکه اطفال از بازی ها و تجهیزات به شکل مناسب و با استفاده از سیستم چرخشی/نوبتی استفاده می کنند.
- ایفای نقش حیاتی در راه اندازی و اجرای فعالیت های تفریحی برای اطفال با استفاده از انواع بازی های انفرادی و گروهی و قصه گویی که دسترسی به اطلاعات، پیام های حمایت از اطفال را فراهم می کند.
- اطمینان از رعایت چک لیست های حفاظت از اطفال در فضای دوستدار طفل.
- حمایت از اطفال برای درک مکانیزم بازخورد و استفاده از آن برای ارائه بازخورد خود به شکل محرمانه و ایمن و اطمینان از ارائه پاسخ به موقع به اطفال.
- برگزاری جلسات مهارت های والدگری مثبت برای والدین/مراقبان اطفال مرکز دوستدار طفل برای یادگیری بیشتر در مورد رفتارهای مثبت و سایر مسائل حمایت از اطفال.
انجام سایر وظایف محوله از سوی مدیر پروژه.

Job Requirment
- School graduates (12 grade), but university degree in Social Science (Psychology, Theology, education, literature, and sociology) will be preferred.
- One year of experience in child protection sector (CFS/School) with NGOs, but experience with child focused international organizations will be preferred.
- Adequate knowledge and skills to manage child protection cases according to the standard case management guidelines.
- Fluent in national languages, Pashto, Dari, and Uzbeki.
- These are community-based positions and therefore, priority is given to the local couple candidates, who are from the respective districts.
