Job Summary

The Cashier will be responsible for daily banking transactions involving cash deposits, cash withdrawals, check payments, cash advances and DAB related transactions. The role also includes providing information to customers about banking services and promoting the bank’s products when needed.

The Cashier will have responsibilities that include:

1. Handle daily cash transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, check payments, and cash advances.
2. Verify customer information and ensure all transactions are processed accurately and in accordance with bank procedures.
3. Maintain and balance cash holdings throughout the day and at closing time.
4. Monitor cash availability and ensure records match physical cash at all times.
5. Assist customers with account-related inquiries and provide information about banking products and services.
6. Promote relevant bank products and support customers in selecting suitable services.
7. Resolve basic transaction-related issues and provide timely customer support.
8. Carry out other duties assigned by the line manager.

Job Requirment

1. Bachelor’s degree in Banking and Finance, Islamic Banking, Business Administration, or a related field.
2. Professional banking certifications will be considered an advantage.
3. At least 1 year of experience in cash handling, preferably in the banking sector, or 2 years of relevant administrative experience.
4. Good understanding of banking procedures, basic accounting principles, and banking regulations.
5. Proficiency in Dari, Pashto, and English (written and spoken).
6. Strong computer skills, particularly in MS Office applications.
7. Excellent communication, customer service, and relationship management skills.
8. Strong numerical, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
9. Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
