Job Summary

• The Tax Officer is responsible for the company's tax activities, including tax planning, tax payments, reconciliations, filling tax forms, tax compliance, and preparing corporate tax returns. A Tax Officer involves both advisory and compliance aspects and must understand tax legislation, compliance with relevant laws, and the impact this has on a business. 
   

The AWCC Jobs in Kabul, (Tax Officer) will have responsibilities that include:

• Using the Afghan Taxation Law to withhold tax and deposit it to the government within the required timeframe.
• Compile monthly, quarterly, and annual tax reports.
• Update and organize the company's tax database.
• Recommend tax plans that are in line with the business objectives.
• Prepare the necessary paperwork for tax payments and returns.
• Identify tax savings and suggest ways to increase profits.
• Follow industry trends and track changes related to taxes.
• Liaise with internal and external auditors.
• Forecast tax predictions to senior managers.
• Observe future legislation that impacts taxation and operations, including future risks.
• Estimate and track tax payments.
• Collect all tax payments made and prepare the necessary forms for submission to the tax department.
• Maintain a proper filing system for all tax documents.
• Process the paperwork for the MOF audit and serve as the focal point for completions.
• MOCIT and ATRA reporting and follow ups.
• Any other tasks assigned by supervisor.

Job Requirment

• A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
• Minimum 3 years experience in finance department.
• Must have knowledge on Tax, Financial Accounting and Reporting.
• Multi-language skills (good communication in English written and speaking).
• • Good knowledge and computer skills (especially in Ms. Excel and Ms. Word along with presentation skills).
