The Watchman will have responsibilities that include:

• The Security Watchman/Watchwoman is responsible for ensuring the safety and security of CARE's staff, visitors, assets, and facilities within the office and Basic Health Center (BHC).The role focuses on maintaining a secure environment and protecting organizational property at all times.
• Working under the supervision of the assigned OROs and designated security focal points, the Security Watchman/Watchwoman is responsible for monitoring the premises,preventing unauthorized access, responding to emergencies or security incidents, and reporting any suspicious activities promptly.
• In addition to security duties, the position includes maintaining the cleanliness of the compound, disposing of waste outside normal working hours, and carrying out cleaning activities twice daily before shift handovers. These responsibilities are incorporated into the duty roster to ensure continuous security coverage.
• All staff members are responsible for keeping their individual workspaces clean. Cooking and meal preparation are not included in the duties of the Security Watchman/Watchwoman.

Job Requirment

• Applicants must have successfully completed at least Grade 12 or an equivalent level of secondary education.
• A minimum of three years of experience as a security guard or watchman with an international NGO or a United Nations agency is required.
• Candidates should possess strong observational abilities, attention to detail, and the capacity to identify and respond to potential security concerns effectively.
• Good communication skills in Dari and/or Pashto are essential. Proficiency in English will be considered an added advantage.
• The ideal candidate should have strong problem-solving skills and the ability to build and maintain positive relationships with local communities.
• Applicants must demonstrate honesty, integrity, and a high sense of responsibility in carrying out their duties.
• Preference will be given to candidates who are residents of the duty station.
