The Solar Technician will have responsibilities that include:
- Install, commission, maintain, and repair solar PV and hybrid power systems at telecom sites.
- Diagnose and resolve faults in solar panels, inverters, hybrid controllers, batteries, electrical panels, DC systems, and related components.
- Conduct routine inspections, cleaning, testing, and preventive maintenance to ensure optimal system performance.
- Monitor system performance, identify alarms or abnormalities, and take appropriate corrective action.
- Inspect and maintain solar structures, cabling, connectors, grounding/earthing, protection devices, and battery systems.
- Support engineers and senior technicians with major repairs, installations, upgrades, and commissioning activities.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records, inspection checklists, fault reports, and technical documentation.
- Ensure reliable and efficient operation of telecom power systems while strictly following electrical safety, PPE, and site safety requirements.
- Perform other relevant duties assigned by the line manager.
Job Requirment
- High school or technical school graduate.
- 1–2 years of relevant work experience.
- Fluent in Dari and Pashto; intermediate English is an advantage.
- Good knowledge of job-related tools, equipment, and procedures.
- Physically fit, hardworking, honest, and reliable.
- Able to work effectively under pressure and meet job requirements.
- Willing to travel to other provinces and work additional hours when required.
- Committed to following company policies, procedures, and safety standards.
