The Social Worker-Local Recruitment will have responsibilities that include:

    • Identify and manage child protection cases, develop individual case plans, provide follow-up, referrals, and ensure confidentiality and data protection.
    • Conduct psychosocial assessments, home visits, counseling, and group activities to support children and families
    • Advocate for children’s rights and support their safe reintegration into families and communities.
    • Conduct community awareness activities, strengthen child protection networks, and coordinate with schools, health facilities, authorities, NGOs, and other stakeholders.
    • Maintain accurate case documentation and prepare regular reports in line with organizational and donor requirements.
    • Regularly monitor classes,teachers, students’ attendance, teaching quality, learning materials, and classroom conditions.
    • Support teachers with lesson planning, local teaching materials, student hygiene, and training when required.
    • Facilitate community meetings, collect feedback and complaints, and support coordination with local stakeholders.
    • Perform other duties assigned by the line manager.

Job Requirment

    • 14th grade or Bachelor’s degree in Education, Psychology, or a related field.
    • At least 2 years of relevant experience with national or international NGOs.
    • Excellent Pashto and Dari skills; good English proficiency in reading, writing, and communication.
    • Experience in child protection, community engagement, and participatory approaches.
    • Strong communication, counseling, teamwork, cultural sensitivity, and conflict-resolution skills.
    • Ability to work effectively in multicultural environments and manage high-pressure situations.
    • Good computer skills, particularly MS Office.
    • Willingness to travel frequently to districts within the assigned province; applicants from relevant districts are encouraged to apply.
