The Power Engineer will have responsibilities that include:
- Develop and execute preventive maintenance plans for telecom power systems and related equipment.
- Oversee the operation, maintenance, and performance of diesel generators and power infrastructure.
- Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve complex issues in generators, electrical panels, and power distribution systems.
- Monitor power system performance to ensure reliability, efficiency, and continuous operation.
- Maintain and service battery banks, rectifiers, UPS systems, transformers, and grounding systems.
- Coordinate power restoration activities during network failures and service interruptions.
- Assist with the installation, testing, and commissioning of telecom power equipment.
- Track fuel usage and evaluate generator performance and operational efficiency.
- Maintain accurate technical documentation, maintenance reports, and service records.
- Ensure all power operations comply with company standards, procedures, and safety requirements.
- Perform additional duties and responsibilities assigned by the line manager.
Job Requirment
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Power Engineering, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, or a related discipline.
- 2–3 years of relevant professional experience in the field.
- Proficiency in at least one local language (Dari or Pashto) and English, both written and spoken.
- Good command of computer applications and relevant technical software/tools.
- Possession of relevant professional certifications will be considered an advantage.
- Strong commitment to work, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrates honesty, integrity, and professionalism in performing duties.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and solve technical problems efficiently.
- Willingness to travel to different provinces and work additional hours when required.
- Ability to follow and comply with company policies, procedures, and standards.
