The Power Engineer will have responsibilities that include:

    • Develop and execute preventive maintenance plans for telecom power systems and related equipment.
    • Oversee the operation, maintenance, and performance of diesel generators and power infrastructure.
    • Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve complex issues in generators, electrical panels, and power distribution systems.
    • Monitor power system performance to ensure reliability, efficiency, and continuous operation.
    • Maintain and service battery banks, rectifiers, UPS systems, transformers, and grounding systems.
    • Coordinate power restoration activities during network failures and service interruptions.
    • Assist with the installation, testing, and commissioning of telecom power equipment.
    • Track fuel usage and evaluate generator performance and operational efficiency.
    • Maintain accurate technical documentation, maintenance reports, and service records.
    • Ensure all power operations comply with company standards, procedures, and safety requirements.
    • Perform additional duties and responsibilities assigned by the line manager.

Job Requirment

    • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Power Engineering, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, or a related discipline.
    • 2–3 years of relevant professional experience in the field.
    • Proficiency in at least one local language (Dari or Pashto) and English, both written and spoken.
    • Good command of computer applications and relevant technical software/tools.
    • Possession of relevant professional certifications will be considered an advantage.
    • Strong commitment to work, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Demonstrates honesty, integrity, and professionalism in performing duties.
    • Ability to work effectively under pressure and solve technical problems efficiently.
    • Willingness to travel to different provinces and work additional hours when required.
    • Ability to follow and comply with company policies, procedures, and standards.
