ORCD
Established in 2011, ORCD is an Afghan national organization registered with the Ministry of Economy. ORCD’s efforts are guided by its mission “Using evidence-based best practice approach, empower communities to set and achieve their own development goals”. ORCD is the first Afghan NGO representing civil societies in the Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC)of the United Nations. Such a status had never been granted to any Afghan NGO ever before in the history of Afghanistan.
Job Summary
- Providing prenatal and postnatal services, as well as family planning and childcare services.
- Providing infants nutrition services and counseling for pregnant women.
- Training in nutrition services for pregnant and lactating women.
- Providing counseling on family planning strategies.
- To enhance community awareness, organizing sessions with women to increase their knowledge levels.
- Providing specific advices to women for Reproductive Health activities.
- Offering advices to pregnant and lactating women on accessing additional food.
- Encouraging pregnant and lactating women to get vaccines and folic acid (IFA).
Key responsibilities of ORCD Jobs in Paktika, (Midwife):
- Filing forms and register sheets of HMIS related to RH.
- Following ANC visits of patients.
- Identifying and guiding pregnant women in birth plans.
- Submitting monthly reports to the mobile health team leader.
- Filing of Partograph appropriately.
- Any other tasks assigned by team leader.
Job Requirment
- Holding midwifery certificate from secondary health institutes of ministry of public health or having community level competency certificates.
- Having a minimum of 2 years of work experience in healthcare centers.
- In addition to proficiency in native languages, having access to English language.
- Having strong skills in communication, verbal and written communication and report writing.
- Being patient, maintaining a positive attitude and having the ability to work in crisis situations.
