Established in 2011, ORCD is an Afghan national organization registered with the Ministry of Economy. ORCD’s efforts are guided by its mission “Using evidence-based best practice approach, empower communities to set and achieve their own development goals”.
ORCD is the first Afghan NGO representing civil societies in the Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC)of the United Nations. Such a status had never been granted to any Afghan NGO ever before in the history of Afghanistan.
Job Summary
- Purchasing medical and non-medical equipment according ORCD procurement policy from market.
- To liaison with the internal and external auditors provide necessary support to them.
- Contact suppliers for price quotes, prepared requisitions and affixes authorizing signature before ordering.
- Assisted higher level buyers with the selection of bidders, public bid openings, preliminary bid evaluation, brand comparisons and final award of bids.
- Responsible for tender biding for all projects of.
- Collecting quotation from markets according ORCD procurement policy.
- Comparing the quotation and preparing the statement analysis.
- Responsible for making a weekly procurement action plan based on the duties assigned at the beginning of the week by the ORCD management.
- Preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual reports of the supply for Donors.
- Lead the logistics team to undertake structured and targeted capacity development activities for all Implementing Partners in supply chain strengthening to address the gaps arising of the warehouse capacity assessment exercise.
The ORCD Jobs in Badakhshan, (Logistic Assistant) will have responsibilities that include:
- Undertake regular visits to Warehouse to monitor and assess the condition of ORCD supplies being handled by Donor.
- Identify issues and provide technical support to staff in resolving issues to do with Warehouse & fleet management, reporting, end user monitoring etc.
- Develop a harmonized reporting structure for Main Office key actions related to supply chain strengthening. Solicit monthly Warehouse reports, analyze the reports, identify the issues and in consultation with supervisor and logistics staff, prepare action plans for the key observations and monitor the implementation of the action plans.
- Review, monitor Inventory Book, maintaining online assets entry and generate reports with disaggregation of aging Warehouse, expiring supplier, supplies with closed and financially closed grants on a bi-weekly and weekly basis and share and follow-up with sections to ensure that such supplies are fully dispatched to the Donors in a timely fashion.
- Any others tasks assigned by Supervisor.
Job Requirment
- A university degree is required in Business Administration, Management, Economics, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Procurement, Contracts/ Health.
- A minimum of Three (3) years of relevant experience, at the national and international levels, in supply, logistics, procurement, contracting, administration and/or other directly related technical s is required. Understanding of development and humanitarian work. Emergencies experience an advantage. Health supply chain management experience an advantage.
- Fluency in English is required. Knowledge of another official language Pashto, Dari language is an asse
