The Aga Khan Health Services is an agency of the Aga Khan Development Network (AKDN) that supports activities in the health field, and manages more than 200 health facilities, including a network of Aga Khan Hospitals. It works closely with the Aga Khan Foundation (AKF) and the Aga Khan University (AKU) on planning, training, and resource development, and with the Aga Khan Education Services (AKES) and the Aga Khan Planning and Building Services (AKPBS) on the integration of health issues into specific projects. With community health programmes in Central and South Asia, as well as East Africa, AKHS is one of the most comprehensive private not-for-profit health care systems in the developing world. It provides curative health care through 237 health centres, dispensaries, hospitals, diagnostic centres and community health outlets to one million beneficiaries and handles 1.2 million patient visits annually. The Nurse will have responsibilities that include:

• Maintain professional conduct with staff and clients and respect cultural values.
• Participate in implementation of health and development programs.
• Follow organizational rules and demonstrate commitment to duties.
• Provide health education and promote awareness among clients.
• Ensure proper infection prevention practices and basic nursing care standards.
• Implement Growth Monitoring and manage follow-up of malnutrition cases in children under five.
• Support implementation of IMCI program and ORT corner services.
• Supervise clinic sanitation and infection control practices.
• Provide care for inpatient patients.
• Participate in community health activities.
• Manage TB case detection, treatment follow-up, and reporting under DOTS guidelines.
• Ensure proper management and reporting of TB medicines and supplies.
• Handle emergency response, incident reporting, and ambulance/emergency kit maintenance.
• Participate in quality improvement activities.
• Perform other duties assigned by supervisor.

Job Requirment

• Graduation in Nursing from a recognized government or private institute.

  Work Experience: 

• Minimum of one to two years of relevant professional experience in the field.
• Good command of local languages (Dari and Pashto).
• Basic knowledge of English language and computer applications.

• Strong coordination and teamwork abilities.
