The Health Specialist will have responsibilities that include:
- Support in the design, development, and planning of programme activities
- Management, monitoring, and effective delivery of programme results
- Provision of technical and operational assistance for programme implementation
- Development of networks and strengthening of partnerships with relevant stakeholders
- Promotion of innovation, knowledge sharing, and capacity-building initiatives
Job Requirment
- Master’s degree in Public Health, Health Systems, Health Policy, Management, or related fields.
- At least 5 years of professional experience in public health, health systems strengthening, maternal and neonatal health, or related areas.
- Proven experience in programme planning, implementation, monitoring, evaluation, and reporting.
- Strong proficiency in English (required).
- Knowledge of another UN official language (Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian, or Spanish) or a local language is an advantage.
- Experience working with UN agencies, World Bank, Asian Development Bank, or other international organizations is preferred.
- Prior experience in country-level programmes, especially in development, fragile, or humanitarian contexts, is highly desirable.
