The Cleaner will have responsibilities that include:
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene across offices, washrooms, meeting rooms, corridors, common areas, and surrounding premises through regular and deep-cleaning activities.
- Sweep, mop, vacuum, and maintain all types of flooring to ensure a safe and hygienic workplace.
- Dust and clean ceilings, lighting fixtures, furniture, countertops, and other surfaces.
- Clean, disinfect, and sanitize toilets, sinks, kitchens, and related facilities.
- Collect waste from designated areas and ensure proper disposal.
- Clean windows, glass doors, and other glass surfaces as required.
- Refill essential hygiene supplies, including soap, toilet paper, paper towels, and other cleaning materials.
- Clean and maintain water dispensers and ensure they are properly refilled.
- Assist with moving office furniture and equipment when necessary.
- Monitor cleaning supplies and coordinate with the supervisor to maintain adequate stock.
- Submit timely requests for additional cleaning materials when required.
- Report any damage, breakage, or maintenance concerns noticed during cleaning to the line manager.
- Perform other cleaning and related duties assigned by the supervisor.
Job Requirment
- Education: Completion of secondary/high school education is an advantage.
- Work Experience: Minimum of 2 years of professional cleaning experience, preferably with an international NGO or UN agency.
- Language: Basic ability to communicate verbally and in writing in the applicable local language(s).
- Professional Conduct: Must be dependable, punctual, courteous, and professional, with a positive approach to work.
- Teamwork: Ability to cooperate with colleagues and contribute effectively to a team-oriented workplace.
- Interpersonal Skills: Ability to communicate and interact respectfully with staff and visitors.
- Practical Skills: Capable of using common sense to identify and resolve routine workplace issues.
- Following Instructions: Able to exercise sound judgment, understand responsibilities, and follow instructions and procedures properly.
