The Backend Developer will have responsibilities that include:

• The Backend Developer is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining secure, scalable, and high-performance backend applications. This includes building RESTful APIs, implementing business logic, and writing clean, maintainable code.
• The role also involves designing, managing, and optimizing Microsoft SQL Server or PostgreSQL databases while ensuring data integrity, consistency, reliability, and efficient performance.
• The developer is expected to create secure RESTful APIs, integrate third-party services, maintain API documentation, and ensure API versioning and compatibility across different systems.
• A key responsibility is implementing strong security measures, including secure authentication, authorization, and protection against common cybersecurity threats such as SQL Injection, XSS, CSRF, and other OWASP Top 10 vulnerabilities.
• The position requires optimizing application performance, implementing caching mechanisms, developing background services, monitoring production environments, and resolving technical issues efficiently.
• The Backend Developer works closely with UI/UX designers, mobile developers, QA engineers, and business stakeholders while contributing to architecture discussions, code reviews, technical documentation, and source code management using Git.

Job Requirment

• Candidates should hold a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related discipline, with at least three years of professional experience in backend development. They should have hands-on experience building enterprise-level web applications and RESTful APIs, along with strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills. The ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team is essential.

Required Technical Skills:

• Applicants must have solid experience with at least one modern backend framework, such as ASP.NET Core, Laravel, Spring Boot, Django, Node.js, or Go. Experience with multiple backend technologies will be considered an added advantage.

Database & API Development:

• Strong knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server is required, while PostgreSQL or MySQL is preferred. Candidates should be skilled in database design, SQL development, performance optimization, and creating stored procedures, views, triggers, and indexes. They should also have experience developing secure RESTful APIs, implementing authentication, and documenting APIs using tools such as Swagger or OpenAPI.

Security, Version Control & Deployment:

• The role requires experience with JWT, OAuth2, RBAC, secure authentication practices, Git, GitHub or GitLab, and collaborative development workflows. Familiarity with IIS, Nginx, Apache, Windows or Linux servers, Docker, and CI/CD pipelines is considered a plus.

Additional Skills & Competencies:

• Experience with caching technologies, background job processing, testing, debugging, monitoring tools, third-party API integration, and Agile/Scrum methodologies is desirable. Candidates should also demonstrate strong software architecture knowledge, the ability to build secure and scalable applications, excellent teamwork and communication skills, effective problem-solving abilities, and a commitment to continuous learning.
