Job Summary

• A Solar Technician is responsible for all solar and hybrid-related equipment. They should be able to install, repair, and perform wiring or cabling for electrical systems. Additionally, they must carry out these tasks in a technically skilled manner while adhering to standard safety protocols.

The AWCC Jobs in Kandahar & Helmand, (Solar Technician) will have responsibilities that include:

• Oversee preventive and corrective maintenance (PM & CM) for all normal and emergency Solar/Hybrid systems.
• Identify suitable sites for Solar or Hybrid power installations.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair solar and hybrid systems as needed.
• Work with AC power systems up to 400V and DC power systems up to 48V.
• Use test equipment to assess generator power systems, control circuits, UPS systems, batteries, grounding, isolated power, rectifiers, ground-fault circuits/outlets, and other related equipment.
• Maintain various power outlets, lighting systems, and general electrical works.
• Be available for on-site work, including travel as required.
• Work shifts as per the schedule, if necessary.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
• Install solar PV systems, inverters, MPPTs, solar frames, and related accessories.

Job Requirment

• High school graduate or a technical school graduate.
• 2 to 3 years relevant experience.
• Fluent in local languages (Dari and Pashto) intermediate English communication skills will be a plus.
• Intermediate computer skills is an asset.
• Relevant certificates is an asset.
• Demonstrates a strong work ethic.
• Possesses excellent communication skills.
• Upholds integrity and honesty.
• Capable of performing well under pressure.
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues that arise during work.
• Willingness to travel to other provinces and work additional hours.
• Adheres to company rules and policies.
