The Agriculture Trainer will have responsibilities that include:
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct assessments and support the implementation of agriculture and livelihood activities, including home gardening, small-scale agribusiness, and income-generation initiatives.
- Provide technical training and guidance to beneficiaries on improved agricultural and livelihood practices.
- Support the distribution and effective use of project inputs and livelihood kits.
- Monitor field activities to ensure quality implementation and achievement of project objectives.
- Assist in beneficiary identification, verification, and selection processes.
- Coordinate with local authorities, community representatives, and other stakeholders.
- Conduct regular field visits and prepare activity and progress reports.
Required Skills
- Strong communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in rural and remote communities.
- Good reporting and documentation skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Fluency in Dari and/or Pashto; English is an advantage.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
Compliance:
- Adhere to organizational policies, including safeguarding, protection, gender equality, and ethical standards.
Job Requirment
- A university degree (Bachelor degree) in Agriculture, Rural Development, Economics, or another relevant field is required.
- Proven experience of at least two to three years in implementing agriculture, food security, or livelihood-related programs.
- Previous involvement with national or international NGOs, particularly within donor-supported projects, will beconsidered an advantage. Experience working on WFP-funded initiatives is highly desirable.
- Sound knowledge of local farming systems, agricultural production methods, and livelihood opportunities within rural communities.
- Demonstrated ability to deliver training, support community development activities, and strengthen the skills and capacities of beneficiaries.
