Key responsibilities of AC Technician (Herat):

1. Technical Expertise & VRF Mastery: Demonstrate robust technical knowledge and hands on practical experience in handling Variable Refrigerant Flow (VRF) air conditioning systems.
2. New System Installation: Oversee and execute the installation of new VRF AC units within newly constructed corporate facilities.
3. Testing & Commissioning: Perform comprehensive testing, system commissioning, and initial setup to guarantee optimal performance of newly installed equipment.
4. Inspection & Verification: Inspect indoor and outdoor units, refrigerant piping networks, drainage channels, and electrical wiring to ensure alignment with technical standards.
5. Preventive Maintenance: Conduct regular scheduled maintenance for all VRF systems to secure maximum operational reliability, efficiency, and longevity.
6. Troubleshooting & Diagnostics: Diagnose complex technical faults across compressors, electronic control boards, sensor units, and internal communication networks.
7. Repairs & Component Replacement: Execute necessary repairs and replace defective parts strictly adhering to manufacturer guidelines and technical specifications.
8. Performance Monitoring: Monitor climate control parameters, verifying accurate cooling, heating, airflow distribution, and temperature regulation across designated zones.
9. Refrigerant Management: Check refrigerant levels, detect leaks accurately, and handle safe refrigerant recovery, recycling, and recharging procedures.
10. Controller Configuration: Set up and optimize VRF system controllers, digital thermostats, and centralized management interfaces.
11. Contractor & Vendor Coordination: Collaborate effectively with external contractors, equipment suppliers, and internal technical teams throughout installation and commissioning phases.
12. Maintenance Documentation: Maintain meticulous records detailing equipment installations, service schedules, fault logs, repairs, and replaced components.
13. Safety Compliance: Adhere strictly to occupational health and safety regulations, engineering standards, and manufacturer guidelines during all technical operations.
14. Proactive Problem Solving: Identify potential system vulnerabilities and recommend preventive engineering solutions to avoid operational breakdowns and minimize expenses.
15. Reporting & Administrative Support: Submit periodic operational updates and detailed maintenance reports to the Facilities Management team regarding equipment status and repair progress.
16. General Duties: Execute additional engineering and technical support tasks assigned by the line manager.

Job Requirment

• Education & Literacy: Basic literacy required; completion of high school is strongly preferred.
• Professional Certification: Valid certification in HVAC, Refrigeration, or an immediately related engineering field.
• Work Experience: Up to 3 years of relevant professional experience, specifically involving VRF air conditioning systems.
• Technical Proficiencies:
  • Expert knowledge in executing VRF system installations within newly constructed buildings.
  • Proven hands on experience in system testing and commissioning.
  • Strong competencies in troubleshooting, routine maintenance, and equipment repair.
  • Comprehensive understanding of refrigerant piping layouts, electrical wiring configurations, and automated control systems.
  • Ability to accurately read and interpret HVAC engineering drawings and technical specifications.
• Assessment Requirement: Must successfully pass a practical technical assessment to demonstrate hands on VRF expertise.
• Language Skills: Fluency in local languages (Dari or Pashto); working knowledge of English is considered an asset.
• Tools & Procedures: Thorough familiarity with specialized tools, diagnostic equipment, and operational procedures for HVAC maintenance.
