AGENCY FOR ASSISTANCE AND DEVELOPMENT OF AFGHANISTAN (AADA)
AADA was founded in 2005 with the main aim of providing quality health and social services, professional capacity building, and promotion of equal access of communities to developmental and humanitarian services. AADA also responds to the needs of the Afghan people in accordance with the principles and fundamentals of civil society organizations.
Quality improvement, geographic expansion, diversification of funding, institutional development, gender equity, women empowerment and community development are among the main strategic directions reflected in the “AADA Strategic Plan”.
In its long life AADA has operated in 33 provinces of Afghanistan and has successfully implemented more than 125 health and health-related projects, including 28 education/capacity development projects. AADA is a multi-donor funded organization in partnership with the Government of Afghanistan and other international donors including USAID, World Bank, Global Fund and UN agencies.
Job Summary
- Under direct supervision of the technical manager and provincial manager, the EPI senior officer has the overall responsibility for the EPI services against the agreed objectives;
- Coordination of the EPI activities with the REMT/PEMT manager at the provincial level;
- Close coordination of EPI services with other non-HER NGOs and stakeholders to avoid duplication of services and wastage of recourses;
- Attend regular and ad hoc meetings of EPI coordination and task force meetings;
- Responsible for the planning, implementation and training activities;
- Monitoring the performance of project key indicators versus set targets on a monthly basis and making sure effective action plans are developed to achieve project targets both at the provincial office and HF level;
Key responsibilities of AADA Jobs in Herat, (Senior EPI Officer):
- Ensuring the vaccines/supplies are delivered to the health facilities on time;
- Coordinate with the concerned agencies on EPI-related issues including NIDs;
- Provide technical support to EPI supervisors to prepare a micro plan for outreach vaccination sessions;
- Collect and consolidate EPI-related reports and assist the vaccinators in preparing monitoring charts, requests and utilization/coverage reports of vaccines/supplies;
- Conduct both on-the-job and refresher courses as needed for vaccinators;
- Provide and submit on-time mission/activity reports to his/her line supervisor on a daily/ weekly basis (written document or e-mail);
- Any other official task assigned by the line supervisor
Job Requirment
- Graduate from recognize medical college (MD)
- At least 3 years of experience in related field is required.
- Administrative, management and organizational skills, including time management required.
- Willingness and ability to travel to remote health facilities and villages;
- Fluency in written and spoken local languages;
- Knowledge of local environment;
