AGENCY FOR ASSISTANCE AND DEVELOPMENT OF AFGHANISTAN (AADA)
AADA was founded in 2005 with the main aim of providing quality health and social services, professional capacity building, and promotion of equal access of communities to developmental and humanitarian services. AADA also responds to the needs of the Afghan people in accordance with the principles and fundamentals of civil society organizations.
Quality improvement, geographic expansion, diversification of funding, institutional development, gender equity, women empowerment and community development are among the main strategic directions reflected in the “AADA Strategic Plan”.
In its long life AADA has operated in 33 provinces of Afghanistan and has successfully implemented more than 125 health and health-related projects, including 28 education/capacity development projects. AADA is a multi-donor funded organization in partnership with the Government of Afghanistan and other international donors including USAID, World Bank, Global Fund and UN agencies.
Job Summary
- Responsible for the overall mental health and disabilities activities of the project;
- Identify staff needs for mental health and disability related training;
- Identify particular needs for logistics like drugs, medical material, equipment etc.;
- Provide regular technical assistance and training on mental health care and disability for health facility staff and CHW/CHW trainers
Key responsibilities of AADA Jobs in Herat, (Mental Health-disability Officer):
- Conduct regular supportive supervision of the health facilities and CHWs in order to ensure mental health care and disability are implemented according to MOPH policies;
- Coordinating mental health, psychosocial and disability training.
- Collect and compile activity reports and recommendations of the field activities.
- To make appropriate, competent and timely applications/ reports of mental health and disability activities to the provincial office.
- Supportive Supervision of HFs, HPs and outreach area.
- Perform any other required project-related tasks
Job Requirment
- Graduate from recognize Medical faculty (MD)
- At least 2 years of proven experience at field BPHS.
- Strong communications skills.
- Fluent English, Pashto, and Dari with excellent speaking and writing skills
- Proficient computing skills – word processing, spreadsheet design and presentations.
