AGENCY FOR ASSISTANCE AND DEVELOPMENT OF AFGHANISTAN (AADA)
AADA was founded in 2005 with the main aim of providing quality health and social services, professional capacity building, and promotion of equal access of communities to developmental and humanitarian services. AADA also responds to the needs of the Afghan people in accordance with the principles and fundamentals of civil society organizations. Quality improvement, geographic expansion, diversification of funding, institutional development, gender equity, women empowerment and community development are among the main strategic directions reflected in the “AADA Strategic Plan”. In its long life AADA has operated in 33 provinces of Afghanistan and has successfully implemented more than 125 health and health-related projects, including 28 education/capacity development projects. AADA is a multi-donor funded organization in partnership with the Government of Afghanistan and other international donors including USAID, World Bank, Global Fund and UN agencies.
Job Summary
- Under the guidance and supervision of the technical manager the CBHC officer will have the overall responsibility of effective monitoring and supervision of community-based health care in Herat province;
- Support the CHW trainers in developing the training plan for CHWs;
- Develop (monthly, quarterly and yearly) action plan at the provincial level;
- Collect and analyze HMIS/MAAR and MAR data on the CBHC program and provide required feedback to improve the reporting system;
Key responsibilities of AADA Jobs in Herat, ( CBHC Officer):
- Conduct regular supervision of health posts (HPs);
- Ensure the implementation of BPHS standard policy and strategy and community-based health care indicators;
- Provide on-time reports of the CBHC activities to the line manager and relevant departments in the provincial heath directorate (PPHD);
- Active participation in all CBHC-related meetings and meetings at the district and health facilities
Job Requirment
- Medical professionals (MD, Nurse) or bachelor in social science
- At least 3 years of experience in related field is required. (Community-Based).
- Proficiency in computer applications: MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, and other etc.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Willingness and ability to travel to remote health facilities and villages;
- Fluency in written and spoken local languages;
- Knowledge of local environment.
