Job Summary
- The generator attendant will assemble, install, test and maintain electrical or electronic wiring, equipment (Generators electric parts), appliances (Including air conditioners, water heaters, etc.) apparatus, and fixtures.
- The generator attendant will diagnose malfunctioning systems to identify hazards, defects and the need for adjustment or repair.
- The generator attendant will directly coordinate generation of electrical energy by interconnected generating stations throughout the electric utility system. Analyze fuel consumption and power output reports to define the need for plant maintenance repair work.
- The generator attendant will directly coordinate the operation of the major generating plant of the electric power system Directly coordinate periodic plant inspections to evaluate the condition of the equipment. Prepare work orders for major maintenance or repairs.
- The generator attendant will plan layout and installation of electrical wiring
- The generator attendant will prepare sketches and follow blueprints to determine the location of wiring and equipment.
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical control, wiring, and lighting systems.
- Electrician will ensure the interior and exterior lighting including outside floodlights and garden lights is sufficient and fully functional at all times.
The Generator Attendant/Electrician Job at HPL in Bamian - ( 3 Vacancies ) will have responsibilities that include:
- Read technical diagrams and blueprints.
- Perform general electrical maintenance.
- Inspect transformers, circuit breakers, and other electrical components.
- Troubleshoot electrical issues using appropriate testing devices.
- Repair and replace equipment, electrical wiring, or fixtures
- Follow National Electrical Code state and local building regulations
- Circuit breaker corrective maintenance.
- Good knowledge of heating and air conditioning systems
- Writing reports and compiling data regarding existing and potential electrical engineering projects and studies
- Good knowledge of various test equipment
- Any other tasks assigned by the supervisor
Job Requirment
- Education: Baccalaureate degree is required and Electrician degree from a technical college will be preferred.
- Experience: Minimum 5 years of relevant electrician experience in a similar position in a national or international NGO.
- Languages: Proficiency in both national languages and excellent communication and writing skills in English
- Deep electrical system, power generation, and repair knowledge,
- Self-motivated, Quick learner with a positive attitude.

- Disciplined, honest, professional, and hard worker.
