The Aga Khan Health Services is an agency of the Aga Khan Development Network (AKDN) that supports activities in the health field, and manages more than 200 health facilities, including a network of Aga Khan Hospitals. Job Summary

• Conduct daily ward rounds for observation and review of patients. Ensure patient case notes, transfer, referral and discharges are written on daily basis and ensure regular monitoring of patients’ progress.
• Run clinics on a regular basis and attend to emergency cases when necessary.
• Carry out emergency surgical procedures when on duty.
• Liaise with Consultants on handling specialized cases in provision of patients’ health care.
• Participate in all clinical activities and support departmental heads in timely and accurate medical reports, audits, and mortality reviews.   Participate in all clinical audit activities, presentations, rounds and clinical teaching by visiting consultants.
• Follow the routine roster arrangements by Clinical Director or his representative.
• Observe and comply with environmental health and occupational safety measures and regulations.
• Provide professional guidance to facilitate growth and development of the institution.
• Ensure effective utilization of resources.
• Work with subordinates to establish effective managerial control through delegation and coordination.
• Stimulate achievement and evaluate performance on a regular basis.
• Work effectively with superiors, peers, and subordinates.
• Participate in regular participative meetings.
• Report to Head of your Department.

The AKHS Job in Bamian – Medical Doctor will have responsibilities that include:

• Education:  Medical Doctor graduated from reputable organization and registered with Afghanistan medical council (AMC).
• Work Experience: At least 2 years’ experience working as Medical Doctor in hospitals particularly in Obstetrical and Gynaecology department.
• Skill: Good communication skill in both Dari/ Pashto and English and proven management ability.
• Language: Fluency at local languages.
• General:     Bamyan local or willing to stay long in Bamyan
