Ensure storage, stock management and supply processes, hygiene and safety procedures, tools and protocols, implementation of appropriate quality controls and records to ensure good storage conditions (temperature, humidity and light exposure) and availability of medicines and medical supplies in accordance with national regulations and in liaison with the Logistics Department.
Coordinate the delivery, receipt and recording of orders from the Zabul office pharmacy, in close coordination with the MD TL, updating stock records and informing line managers of their status (shortages, surpluses, expiry dates) to maintain safe stock levels and ensure efficient stock management.
Understand and read the prescriptions coming from the maternity ward and liaise consistently with the medical team & MD TL.
Recording all incoming and outgoing items on the computer and reporting on drug usage and medical equipment dispensed according to protocols, reporting on unusual patterns, and forecasting future needs and ensuring availability.
Assist in the training of nursing staff in the administration of medicines and their side effects.
Ensure that medicines are properly labelled and packaged prior to dispensing.
Actively participate in regular inventory and stock counts – including hygiene kits, baby kits, maternity kits, MHM kits and PPE kits.
Take personal responsibility for decision making, efficient management of resources and the achievement and demonstration of Intersos values
