Job Description
Job Description:
- Give health education at the mobile clinic or health facility waiting area on reproductive health issues and information on IYCF for pregnant and lactating women.
- Ensure all the equipment for reproductive health services are in place and operational.
- Provide BEmONC services to patients in Qalat PH.
- Adhere to Universal precautions during procedures.
- Promote safe motherhood activities within the facility.
- Provide ANC and PNC services to pregnant mothers including family planning.
- Link up with community outreach team for effective referral and follow up of ANC and PNC mothers.
- Conduct safe deliveries and asses the complicated cases and refer them to appropriate. facilities in coordination with the obstetrician for more investigation and proper treatment.
- Provide refresher training and supervision to the community midwives.
- Keep proper record of all the procedures done and prepare a weekly/monthly report.
- Provide proper Family Planning services to all clients at the clinic level as per MOPH protocol and keep records.
- Provide support to other PH departments for complex and urgent gynaecological cases according to the needs and directions of the supervisor.
- Ensure all mothers are screened with malnutrition and identified cases should be given proper counseling and treatment.
- Holds self-accountable for making decisions, managing resources efficiently, achieving and role modelling Intersos values.
- Any other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Qualification:
- High diploma or bachelor’s degree in health sciences or midwifery studies is required.
- 2+ years of relevant work experience at least.
- Pashto skills are required; English is preferable.
- Work experience in health as emergency response projects is preferable.
- Previous experience working for an international NGO is preferable.
- Commitment to INTERSOS principles.
- Comply with all relevant INTERSOS policies and procedures.
- Strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to effectively present information and respond appropriately to questions from senior managers in the field.
- Ability and willingness to travel and stay overnight at service delivery point.
- Teamwork and cooperation
- Good report writing and proposal writing skills desirable.
- Understanding of humanitarian operations principles, standards, and best practices.
