Job Description
Job Description:
- Prepare and conduct training sessions on all lab topics in collaboration with BPHS/EPHS Project director and technical health manager and capacity development officer including, blood transfusion, blood Banking, microbiology and other trainings depending on needs
- Â Represent RI and coordinate with other partners for lab training activities
- To perform supportive supervision from DHs, CHCs and BHCs
- To Provide on the job training for the field staff
- To asses and improve laboratory quality
- Â Make a need assessment for lab and blood transfusion training at provincial level
- Â Evaluation of knowledge and practices of lab technicians on topics to be taught
- To develop training planning and chronogram of programs
- To prepare curriculum for theoretical and practical parts of training sessions
- Â Prepare guidelines and documents for trainees to take back home at the end of the training session
- Share supervision notes; discuss problems and solutions with BPHS/EPHS project director, technical health manager, CDC officer and CDO officer.
- Supervise blood transfusion and blood banking activities in DHs
- make a monthly activity report
- Lab materials management & Record keeping
- Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual action plan and monthly report.
- 60-70% of his time should be spent in supervision visits to the HFs
- Any other task assigned by the line manager.

- Graduated from recognize Medical technology Faculty
- Minimum of 3 years work experience in Lab services and BPHS
- Good understanding of the Lab services provided in BPHS/EPHS.
- Good team work spirit.
- Ability to work independently
- Good communication skills
- Â Language skills: Fluent in written and spoken Pashto/Dari and English
- Â Computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)Good command of English, Fluent in Dari and Pashto both verbally and written
- Computing skills (Ms Office: word and excel, internet) is essential
- Team player, capacity builder, flexible in working hours
- Honest and trustworthy
- Having reporting skills
- Able to work under pressure and meet the deadlines
