Job Description:
Level 2: the post holder will have contact with children and/or young people either frequently (e.g. once a week or more) or intensively (e.g. four days in one month or more or overnight) because they work country programs; or are visiting country programs; or because they are responsible for implementing the police checking/vetting process staff.

We work with families, communities and health workers in homes, clinics and hospitals to promote basic health in order to save lives of children and mothers.
The FSL Assistant with support from FSL Officer will support the implementation of MPCA activities planned under Save the Children’s BHA grant. The post holder along with FSL officer will closely work with project beneficiaries to provide beneficiaries with capacity building and livelihood assistance.
Budget Responsibilities: Not Applicable
Role Dimensions: The post holder will establish good working relationship with rest of Save the Children livelihood and child protection staff as well as with community members where the project activities are implemented.
KEY AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY :
The main areas of accountability and responsibility of this post is to support implementation of the livelihood component of Save the Children’s BHA grant in Saripul provinces.
Details are below:
- In support from other project staff, finalize the project locations and project beneficiaries targeting strategy and criteria.
- Take part in community-based mobilization and sensitization meetings and introcude the livelihood component of the project to target communities.
- Take part in the process of beneficiary identification and registration.
- Have the ability of villages selection and community mapping to set up village committee/empower the village committee.
- Have the ability and knowledge on cash based programing and interveoitn for food security and livelihood.
- Support cash tranfering program and cash distribution in the field for the targeted benefieiasrs in the area.
- Support Save the Children’s procurement team in procurement of required goods that will be distributed to selected beneficiaries.
- Support implementation of project baseline, mid-term, and final evaluation.
- Collaborate with livelihood officers, Project Coordinator, community mobilizers and MEAL staff to design community mobilization strategy and project implementation plans.
- Develop project weekly narrative reports and submit them to Livelihood Officer timely.
- Assist joint monitoring visits with the government officials (Provincial/district relevant authorities) to the project sites.
- Support Save the Children’s MEAL staff in establishing quality project documentation and filing system.
Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability, and Learning
- Prepare and implement action plan for quality monitoring
- Mobilizing and Making communities aware on project objectives, outputs and activities and MEAL systems and SCI Child Safeguarding Policies.
- Facilitate project and activities information at all events such as training and workshops

Qualification:
University degree in development studies, social science, or any other relevant technical credentia
- At least 6 month -1 year experience in CTP programming
- Familiarity with livelihood programming for returnees and IDPs
- Maturity and confidence in dealing with the staff of government institutions, and communities.
- Excellent communication (both oral and written) in English and local languages, people skill for conflict resolution and negotiation;
- Computer proficiency, especially related to professional office software packages (Microsoft Office);
