Job Description:

1.       Follow the , policies and procedures applicable now and from time to time and adherence to line of authority;

2.       Be an effective organizational leader and a key member of operation management in line with the policies and procedures and management decisions;

3.       Act as Acting Chief Operation Officer in absence of Chief Operation Officer – COO provided he is being referred by COO to do so.

Principal accountabilities are:

1.       Project a professional and warm image; maintain operational control based on section’s reports and continuous improvement in operation efficiency.

2.       Manage reporting sections functions to ensure the delivery of quality service to customers.

3.       Rectify internal control issues according to internal and external audit reports.

4.       Insure strict adherence to laid down procedures and avoid breach of compliance.

5.       Reporting sections direction toward the section’s given targets.

6.       Assist in formulating the bank’s future direction and supporting tactical initiatives

7.       Monitor and direct the implementation of strategic business plans

8.       Assist the COO in development of Operational strategies/plans

9.       Maintain in-depth relations with all departments of the bank

10.    Implement instructions referred/instructed by the Chief Operation Officer

11.    Manage the following sections:, 3131 Call center, Western Union, Salary, payments and branchless banking.

12.    Oversee the issuance of management reporting and report operational results to Chief Operation Officer.

13.    Prepare operation related reports (data acquired from sections) required by Da Afghanistan Bank

14.    Acquire bank reconciliations prepared by related sections according to the board decision on timely basis.

15.    Monitor cash management of the bank,ensure that cash positions of all branches are in line with the requirement and approval and assist treasury in managing investments by taking into account, customer cash requirements, ensure management of accounts with financial institutions.

16.    Authorize transactions of the head office related sections.

17.    Any other tasks given by the COO and Board of Management.

Qualification:

1.       Bachelors In Business Administration – Economics, Finance and Management or relevant degree. (Must)

2.       Masters In Business Administration (Preferred)

3.       Relevant prior experience of minimum five years with  2 years as general manager in bank operation. (Must)
