The Cook will prepare and cook meals for the related PDME staff and Trainees in a tidy, clean, and organized manner. She/he will ensure hygienic practices in the kitchen and assist in the purchase of food for meal preparations. The Cook reports to the Amine of Community Health Midwifery school.

Main Responsibilities:

• Act according to the policy and regulations of SCA
• Develop good cooperation with PDME staff.
• To prepare the meal on official and non-official days for the related PDME staff/ trainees
• To distribute the meal on time and in a proper and organized manner
• To keep the kitchen and kitchen utensils always washed and cleaned.
• Safe and economical use of gas, electricity, and wood
• To prepare meals according to the menu and the amount allocated at the budget for staff and Trainees
• To co-operate and assist all units/staff with the healthy intake of food at SCA premises
• To actively contribute to the successful development and good reputation of the SCA
• To do any other duties assigned by the line supervisor.

Education

• At least basic education, pass grade 12 or 10 is preferred.

Experience:

• At least three years relevant experience, especially within an NGO, UN agencies or similar organization.

Others:

• Fluency in Dari and/Pashto, both written and spoken, is an advantage, Interpersonal and communication skills, team worker, punctual, and troubleshooting skills.
• Experience in visitor searching and familiar with security rules and regulations.
• Honest, proactive, and well-mannered.
