Job Description:

Improvement of maternal and under 5 children’s nutrition condition, prevention and treatment of malnutrition by applying of medical and nutritional protocols.

Main Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Regular conducting of the home visit of SAM and MAM children based on need.
  • Active participation in the Mass MUAC screening program.
  • Regular conducting of health and nutrition committees monthly meeting with community elders of MHNT on monthly bases.
  • Distribution of food ration to SAM and MAM children.
  • Regular conducting of health and nutrition education at MHNT.
  • Regular follow-up of absent and defaulters.
  • Facilitate community referrals of SAM and MAM children to MHNTs.
  • Provide weekly and monthly reports.

As applicable to the position, maintains a clear understanding of International Medical Corps and donor compliance and ethics standards and adheres to those standards.  Conducts work with the highest level of integrity

  • It is all staff’s shared responsibility and obligation to safeguard and protect populations with whom we work, including adults who may be particularly vulnerable and children. This includes safeguarding from the following conduct by our staff or partners: sexual exploitation and abuse; exploitation, neglect, or abuse of children and adults at risk; and any form of trafficking in persons.

Qualification:

  1. Afghan National
  2. Graduated from high school

Desirable:

Diploma from a recognized nursing school or bachelor’s degree in social science or law

Experience:

  1. At least 1-year work experience in the similar position

Competency:

  1. Able to communicate in local languages
  2. Experience in community mobilization.
  3. Good interpersonal skill
